Welcome to our new President, Fance Morrell

​

Fance has been associated with Richmond, now Yarra Netball Association, on and

off for the past 25 year. For nine years, she served as Head Coach of the then

Richmond Netball Association, where she helped to build a highly competitive Representative Program and where success was achieved across multiple age

groups  (13&U, 15&U, 17&U).​

​

Seven years ago, she joined Peninsula Waves, a Victorian Netball League licence

holder.  For the past three years, she has been the joint coach of the Under 23 VNL

team, where she helped develop a high-performance program and environment

focused on athlete growth, professionalism and team culture.

​

More recently, Fance has enjoyed returning to YNA as Head of 'Coach & Player Development' for the Representative program.  She is passionate about working with emerging athletes and coaches, sharing her experience and knowledge, while ensuring the journey is both enjoyable and rewarding.

​

Fance looks forwards to supporting the Association in any way that she can, helping to maintain the safe, inclusive and positive environment that players, umpires and coaches enjoy.  She acknowledges that culture is only possible because of the dedication and hard work of the many volunteers and staff working both on the court and behind the scenes.

​​Our Association is a Child Safe Organisation. We are committed to providing a safe environment for everyone to play and umpire netball and we follow the principles and benchmarks that Netball Victoria has in place.  We have zero tolerance for abuse which includes, but is not limited to, verbal abuse, denigration or bullying.​​

All coaches & Team Managers aged 18 years/over must provide the Association with their current Working with Children Check card number & expiry date.

​​

Teams in the 9&U and 11&U age groups will participate in Saturday morning competitions. They will participate in matches without ladder positions being recorded. The focus for these teams is on skill development, participation, teamwork and enjoyment of the game.

Teams in the 13&U age groups will be graded, as this competition includes Finals at the conclusion of the season.  Match results and ladders are displayed in the Netball Connect app.
